Travel Republic Flight changes

We have just heard that our flights has been cancelled for the 17th August-31st August.
They have offered us other flights on the same days.
The outcome being that we will lose 8hrs on the arrival day and 10 hrs on our departure day.

We enquired about flights that were not far of our orignal times but were told that we would get a £250 cancellation charge.
After many heated phone conversations/emails  I am sad to say we got nowhere and have accepted the new times offered.
So for the 17th August cancel lunch, swim in the sea and walk along the beach as we wont be in San Stef till 9.30ish in the evening rather than lunchtime.
As for the 31st not much time for anything as flight goes at 11.30am, cancell, beach,swim, walk and food and drinks with Glenn.

Sorry to hear that Sue - Any compensation offered? You should at least write and ask - nothing to lose!!

 Yeh, also very sorry to hear that Sue. So annoying that they can make big changes like that and charge you for cancelling. They're worse than mosquitos!!

Sounds like RobbinAir - same sort of customer service - - -none!!!

Do RobbinAir charge you when they cancel the flight?

We are flying with Viking Airlines.  The cancellation fee was if we wanted to change the flight they had offered us.

As each flight time changes are less than 12hrs they offer no compensation. ( small print) Didn't get to the begging stage but was talking VERY SLOW and getting sarcastic on the phone. Johns advice is to keep clear when I do that

So we have accepted the new times, nothing else we can do.

Will have to stay longer on the beach and drink more in Glenns' to make up for it.

On some previous messages it has been said that Barras have banned it due to it staining bedding and toilet seats. Maybe as you are not staying there you would be ok .
