September can be humid and thundery; quite normal for northern Greece and the Ionian islands in September.

Been there on more than 10 different Septembers, always good weather, maybe just an odd day of rain if you are unlucky!
What you do often get in September is the regular cycles of the Mistral (High Winds), and some evenings you need a jacket!
When the wind blows hard - it whips up the sand on the beach - you may get 1 or 2 uncomfortable days,
if you stick it out on the beach being sandblasted.
We used to use a hotel pool for the odd bad days and it was never a problem!
We love the September Sun, still hot, water was Ok for swimming still - go for it!!
Happy Days in Agios Stefanos, Avliotes, Corfu!! TonyCo1
