There are other Doctors not to far away as well, Arilas for example, just a phone call and a few mins drive away!
We were put off the Doctors in Arillas last year just purely based on what a well known village person told us.
Sorry, I have to disagree!!
I had an accident in my garden last year and had to crawl back into the house to wait for Nikos to come home from work that night ( there was no phone signal so couldn't phone him - or the Dr for that matter). Next day I was taken to Dr Iannis & Dr Tanya in Arillas. They were efficient and thorough, strapped me up and sent me for an x-ray which I had done in Acharavi. I had to hop through to the office of the person who did the x-rays to be told there was no fracture. I knew it was broken! I saw the x-rays and could see breaks (x 2). She insisted no breaks.I had to say to her I was a nurse back in UK and had a special interest in all things Orthopaedic - and that I could see 2 broken bones which were clean breaks luckily. Still she insisted they were not fractures but just a scratch on the bone!!
I went back to Arillas - Dr Tanya looked at the x-rays and said immediately I had fractures and basically I had to have a plaster cast on. I saw the Drs several times over the next couple of months - and they were excellent. I am one of the worst patients you could ever come across as I'm not used to being on the receiving end, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
I guess though different people have different experiences!
