Wind Turbines

Re wind measurement by the chapel on the top of the hill between SS and Arrillas. They are definately measuring wind speed to look to site turbines offshore. This is a project in the making and will take approx 3 years to come to fruition. There is also consideration to some of the turbines being sited inland.

Yes Joan, we discussed this earlier in July, I think I will hate a Sunset shot full of wind turbines, even seeing them from the beach will spoil the wonderful view!!

Noula has a "picture" of what ss beach is supposed to look like with turbines. Not a pretty sight ....

Hi Stressed, How's the foot.....are you still hobbling or back at work?
Not too sure as to where these are going to be sited  everything is a bit vague as it's still in the planning stages yet. We were told it was between the islands but no specific island was mentioned. We will just have to wait and see.

Shes dragging her feet (foot) about returning to work!

up here in scotland we have the largest wind turbine farm in europe and it is ghastly looking, i really hope they dont bring them to corfu.

not back  at school yet... my own doc went mad with me for not  believing it was a break straight away and says there is still a lot of soft tissue damage (whatever that means!) so am still hopping mad. (Awaitng more puns from tony at this point!) Nobody here believes that I was sober when it happened.
