When are you going to San Stefanos in 2010?

HI Kernock,
Your record is not far short of ours so you will know the place just as well as we do.
Our first time in 1983 was with a company called Greek Connection Holidays, Katie was the Rep at that time.
This was when she met Michalis, fell for him and Married within a couple of years.
We have stayed 3 times with Michalis and Katie at the Anatoli (the Apartments you use a lot).
It was some years ago now, but they are a good choice of Apt. with a good view overlooking Kamini bar & Manthos Taverna.
One year we stayed there and saw the most superb Lightning show out to sea! Some storm that was!!
We have been there (to S S) in every month of the season at different times, this year will be early Sept.
May is lovely and hopefully will be dry for you.
My Mother was a Cornish Girl, born in St Austell, lived in St. Germans and then Redruth,
before moving to London as her Father was a Civil Servant who was promoted and transferred there.
Cornwall itself is also lovely, and living there I can understand your love of the wild flowers etc.
Anyway - welcome to the Forum, any contributions will be most welcome!
You may bump into Zoe & Roy,or Mike & Carole (or others in fact), from the forum as they are all going in May!

Hi there I'm new to this forum......

We're arriving on the 22nd August and stopping at the Romanza. 

Before that though we have a week in Sharm El Sheik to look forward to!

Really looking forward to our first visit to Corfu, we holidayed (honeymoon) at the Nine Muses in Skala, Kefalonia a couple of years ago and we're hoping San Stefanos will be similar.

Counting the days....anyone fancy a beer

welcome to the forum gavlah 1973  nice to know you are coming to gods country san stef  and to a nice hotel ive not stayed in the place but we have many times had a meal or just a drink its got one of the best views in s/stef next to the teressa hotel just down the hill from it .im sure that one of our forum members, yannis 26 will enlighten you about any thing you require about the hotel as he,s a regular to the place hope this will help you a bit just keep on line and imsure you will get plenty of advice on this subject looking to meet you one time in the resort for that mythos beer ha ha ha yammas mike.

Hi Gavlah1973, Welcome to the Forum big-time!!
We will be there from 31st Aug this year, so if you are there for 2 weeks, we would love to say hello to you over a beer!
Keep an eye on this forum and you will see arrangements in place for a meet on the 1st or 2nd of Sept, for Forum Members.

The Romanza is a great Hotel and a Brilliant family run it - known for good food as well!
The Hotel is Located on top of one of the Hills, but has a great view at Sundown.

Have a great Holiday - we are sure you will like it - again, as Mike say's,
Yannis stays there - he can answer any specialist questions you may have!

We have a week in Egypt first in May but we're really looking forward to Corfu. It's one island we've never been to before.

We did love the tranquility of Skala, Kefalonia and we're hoping San Stef will be the same.

The Romanza looks terrific. A guy who my wife worked with stayed there and rated it so it should be great.

Which hotel are you going to in Sharm?
We went there in December to a fantastic hotel - The Royal Albatross Moderna Beach Hotel.
Nabq Bay.

Hi mate. We're staying at one called Ghazala Gardens right in Naama Bay. Check it out on Trip Advisor. Think it's rated 12. We paid 1200 all in for a week. That includes ajunior suite with direct pool access!

We went to Naama Bay a couple of times this time, we may have seen it as the name is familiar, but not sure - sounds good anyway!
Take some Bimuno with you, it helps to ward off tummy trouble - Google it!! It does work!!

I've heard that we're pretty much nailed onto get a dodgy belly. I have pretty much an iron constitution......it's the wife I'm worried about!

Dont really know what to expect, I've been told to keep my head down and walk fast in Naama Bay to avoid being dragged into the shops. I think we'll only go out a couple of times....Hard Rock (cheesy I know but we're on a mission to get to as many as possible, list so far stands at Barcelona, New York twice, Manchester, Leeds, Amsterdam) and probably to the Tavern pub to watch the footie one afternoon.

If we like it then were going to go back for 2 weeks and take in the Pyramids etc. This times more for a chill out and to get a base tan for San Stef!

I never - ever - usually get Tummy probs, but in Egypt, they do not sell toilet rolls in the locals' shops.
so in the Sinai Desert there is little water - and they handle banknotes!
That is usually where 90% of bad tummmy runs come from. Take usual precautions, and wash hands every time you handle notes!!
Bimuno is a pre-biotic that is proven to work - why take the risk!

Hi Everyone
Going back finally again to heaven on earth that is San Stefanos after an unfortunate break last year.We are going for 2 weeks from 13th Aug,staying at Christinas Apts.Its my 50th birthday in April this year and I cannot think of a better place to have a belated celebration!!

must be the year for 50th birthdays mine 16th oct but we will be going for and extra holiday in sep will have to think off something to celibrate next year not long till out 2 weeks in may now
