tonyco1:
I am told that the Avliotes By-pass is now in operation.
It was completed just after we went home last year.
Can someone who has used it please confirm and say roughly where it starts.
I believe it joins the road to Avliotes, near the petrol station (BP?), just before Avliotes (towards Sidari).
Not 100% sure where it comes out the other side.

carole.mike:
it comes out just befor the petrol station to sidari own by spiros the bike shop  brother the other side of avliotes .

tonyco1:
Thanks for that, still not quite sure where you mean on the far side of Avliotes.

carole.mike:
i tonycol IF YOU TRAVEL THROUGH AVIIOTES VILLAGE FROM SAN STEF WHEN YOU LEAVE THE VILLAGE HEADING FOR SIDARI YOU TRAVEL DOWN THE HILL AND WHEN YOU COME TO THE BOTTOM OF THE ROAD JUST BEYOND THE BEND THATS WERE THE BYE-PASS FINISHEDES JUST BEYOND THAT IS THE PETRL STATION -NOT THE BP THIS BELONGS TO SPIROSTHE BIKE SAN STEF,S BROTHER HOPE THIS EXPLAINS THINGS YAMMOS. MIKE.

tonyco1:
Thanks Mike, That will be good news for the coaches etc.
I now know exactly where you mean.
But - I love driving through the village, stopping for a quick one in the taverna, and people watching!
However, on my first drive this year - I will try out the by-pass to get to know it.
Because, if it's just a quick trip to Sidari for a shop or bank machine, (if S S / Arillas runs dry), then a very good option!
Yammas to you as well and σε ευχαριστώ (thank you).
