I\'m trying to find out if my friend Manthos is still around and if the taverna is still going. Can you help?

yes he is still around as is his taverna and he still likes the girls
spent many hours there 2 weeks ago
and only spoke to him last night

Yes, Manthos is still around and in fairly good form.  I know the Taverna has not changed much in 20 years but we always go there on the first and last night at the very least.  If Manthos does the cooking there are very few Taverna in the area that can beat him for traditional Greek food.  Lily is back again this year until September and CHristina helps out during the day and on Saturday Party night.
Manthos is back on the ciggys (with a holder) and drinks in moderation - or so he says!

Yes I remember well the first afternoon I had a drink in moderation with Manthos, back in 1983!
I think we downed a litre of Brandy - and - never again did I do that!!

I introduced myself a few years ago as a friend of Chrisno2, Cue good session on the brandy. That was a cheap night Chris !!  ;D. Manthos was great company and oneof rthese days i must find the time to look through his photo albums.

Hi Don, I love looking at old photographs, are they left on display for customers to look at or would I have to ask to see them?

I've yet to see them. Every year I say definitely this year- definitely next year. I would imagine you'd ask for them.

The photos are stacked up in the back open room, by the lobster tank, for all to see.  Manthos likes people taking interest in them so just go and do it.  Take the years on the front with a pinch of salt as some books seem to have got mixed up in dates!

Yes - I agree - Kernock is correct, I have donated a few pictures to his album as well.

Another one who keeps an album is Spiros in the Havana Bar - nice Album there as well.
