Title: Viking flights delays From Manchester (Mondays am)

I've noticed that some Viking airways flights from Manchester (T2)  to Greece have been substantially delayed and wondered if those to Corfu on Monday mornings have been affected  at all ?

Off to SS next Monday AM with Viking and can't wait but hoping for no delays as we're only able to get away for a week this time (usually go for 2) and a substantial delay (e.g. up to 24 hrs for some Greek Viking flights) would be quite a chunk out of our holiday.

Oh dear Joe.  The Vilking flight leaving Corfu last Monday around 2230 was scheduled to leave at 0530 on Tuesday!  Hope it was just a glitch.  Have a great holiday in SS and hope you have the full 7 days.

Joer, the early am flight tomorrow from Manchester to Corfu is saying scheduled at the moment, will check again in the morning. Don't worry about something which probably won't happen. Good luck and enjoy or holiday.

I notice ours took off 10 minutes late this Friday just gone.........shocking!!

Gavlah, 10 minutes late? If it happens to us we should demand a free drink in way of compensation.  ;D

just checked myself...the viking 5.15am flight today  took off 1 hour 8 mins late today (Mon am) - which is no great shakes.

Feel sorry for the poor b*G*ers  last Monday -   hours late -  shh.

Roll on next Monday..There have been so many comments here about how great San Stef is - I can't wait.

We just love Greece, been to  Corfu, Rhodes, Kos, Skiathos, Crete, Zakynthos, Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Paxos, Nyssiros, Symi and going to Samos next year.

San Stef sounds like it will be just what I need - friendly and relaxing, good local food etc,

Joer, I did'nt realise that it had taken off over an hour late because by the time I checked, it had gone off screen so I new it had departed, like you say a small delay is no big deal. I am sure everything will be ok. You will have a great holiday in SS, you will soon be there followed by me on Friday 20th[cannot wait now].x

To be honest I dont mind an hours delay......means I can sup another bottle of Champers in the airport lounge!

It's not just Viking flights that suffer delays, we had a big Thomsons delay from Gatwick in July this year.
We also tend to notice our old friends Thomas Cook were suffering badly from delays that day as well.

Was no delays on Monday just gone..(15th August) all customers very happy........ arrived 10.40am and in resort no late than 12.30 on our direct transfers.......

Viking flight for an indie traveller and direct minibus upto their rented apartment, again arranged independantly.

I think we will wait and see how the Thomson transfer goes and if I SUSPECT ANYTHING that is less than a good transfer back to the Airport,
we will Taxi or share a Mini-bus back, we hate rushing at the Airport!
