I'm sure Spiros would be happy for him to spend a little time in the kitchen at Nafsika in the summer. He would be loved. adored, told off, and taught a lot by Theodora.

Don't forget Corfu Town by boat. Much nicer than the bus!

I doubt if it will go much above 1.2

It's already dropping slightly.

Yes - Good time to buy Euros. Been as low as 1.17 over the last week or so.

Every little Mythos helps.

Nice one, Lesley!

What's the Greek for "Man U - try not to laugh"?

The only noise you'll get there will be the waves on the beach - and maybe a little quiet music from Summer Dreams. Perfectly poised about ten yards from the sand.

Some of the best tavernas are within 100 yards. The faintly throbbing heart of the new village is maybe 250 yards away.

Unless you want to walk uphill, the village is quite compact, and there's no need to train in the gym before you go. You will look out at the offshore islands and, to the right, the mountains of Albania.

Agios Stephanos is a very safe place. You will be able to let the teenagers out without worrying. There are several pools within a short distance. You can eat well, swim well, chat well, relax well, sit on the balcony with a glass of something and watch the fiery gold sun redden as it falls into the purple haze above Mithraki. Just a few yards away you have three of the four goddesses of the village: Noula, Sally and Cerys, who will gladly advise on roads, paths, boat trips, boat hire, riding, cash, weddings, divorces and so on.

Why am I doing this? Please don't fall in love with the place - there's not much room left!

Kamini's a quiet, simple bar, frequented by locals and ex-pats living in the village. From time to time Lesley and Aris can be spotted there.

Very nice at sunset.

The forum system (Simple Machines) allows users to change their display theme. I suspect this is not enabled currently.

Maybe we could ask Dimitris to add some themes, so that those who want purple text on a yellow background using a Comic font can have it.

Word association is (IMHO) very boring. To be less boring, it would not permit the same word to be posted more than once. However, that's not possible in the forum setup. As far as I can see, it's not possible to opt out of a topic, which would be one answer.

Would you like an always-developing Ag Stef Saga - where people add paragraphs or chapters? We have had some great fun writing on the Myths Of Ag Stef in the past. I'm happy to kick it off in Yammas Bar if enough enough people think it's a good idea.

I like the visual simplicity of this forum. I think some of the others are a ghastly mess, frankly.

What's great about this forum is the variety of people and views, jokes and information. Great myths have been originated - Vlad the Black Dog - unfair distribution of Kumquat marmalade at Romanza - the lovely Ukrainian lesbians Natasha and Irina (sadly absent for a while) - history of the village - discussions about the dimensions of the beach - imperialist towel deployment. It goes on.

I think Agios Stephanos is about people, plus a nice beach. This - over the winter - keeps the people in touch, and, I think, keeps us interested in it. Otherwise we might go elsewhere.

It's going up all the time. 1.2027 at the moment on TravelFX.

I don't think the Bank will raise the interest rates at the moment, so my guess is that it will stabilize at this level for a while.

It just means that an 8 Euro special costs £6.65
