Where to stay / Re: Best self catering accomodation

If not having microwave is not a serious issue, Little Prince's rooms are very big and airy. They also have safes. This year they have new shower cubicles in the studios. Very posh!

Surely the sound of the sea, the purple light fading over the islands, and the soft whispering of the one you are with is enough?

Yes - about four a day.

Sidari is close by, about 25 minutes by bus.

There are others. There does seem to be some genetic disposition towards being bitten.

Being over-weight, drinking Marston's and breathing out a lot obviously don't help, either.

As I understand it, the collection has moved from local to island-wide, as part of the cut-back reorganisation. The paper recycling stacks were indeed high, and there have been strikes, but in general the "smelly" rubbish was being cleared frequently when we left 10 days ago. The paper mountains don't look good, but they don't smell.

It's something for the businesses to discuss with the Mayor of Avliotes.

I don't know what it's like in the other UK cities but here in Hull we have recently gone to fortnightly collections with alternating general waste one week and recycling paper and vegetable matter the next. Where there are flats with their bins outside the front it's noticeably smelly in the warm conditions.

Frankly, given the current Greek economic situation and the fact the people are in poverty and near starvation even on Corfu, we're lucky that it's as good as it is.

There appears to be a group of people who make a profession out of complaining so that they can get money back.  It's disgusting.

Thanks Jimbo will be able to have a paddle !!!

Far further out than that. It's hard to prove a negative, but seriously, there are NO jellyfish. Lie about on your Lilo or ring, swim out as you may, there are no sharks, raptors, huge crabs, giant squid, sea snakes, crocodiles, mutant turtles, alien flesh-eaters, undead, ghouls, vampiric monsters, flesh-eating eels, strange aquatic plants whose very touch will suck the flesh from your bones, incarnations of of call-centre desperation.

It's a bit boring, really. Warm, salty water. That's it. They don't say that on the brochures. It's utterly devoid of threat. Jump in.
