Sorry Waspman but I don't think that translation is quite correct,"palio" means old and "paidon" can mean fellow or chap,so if we are looking for a literal translation it would be "The Old Fellow" or "The Old Chap",think I've got that right.
I shot that video for Gillie because she thinks Vassilis is one of the most gorgeous creatures on the planet!
Can't remember the name of the song, unfortunately.
The key point - it seems to me - is that Thomson promote and introduce people to the village. Then, perhaps, they want to go back making their own way. Is there enough critical mass for that to survive?
This is a topic which has been discussed many times. I suspect that if owners can make more money by going independent, they will do so. I do not know the full details of the financial arrangements, but I do find the Thomson knocking a little tiresome. If you do not like them, use Thomas Cook, or some other company, or arrange your own visit.
Romanza told us €8 pppn for room and brekkie..... And folk still slagged the breakfasts!!!
Yes Waspy but you've been many times for lunch/drinks etc!
We tried to book for next year in May/June this year. They won't even look at taken your booking Gaynor until the Sept unless you've been before as they book their regulars in first
