Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Award for Excellence

Well deserved for both the food and entertainment every Tuesday......

We saw quite a few professional singers in the last two weeks in Las Americas restaurants and Hotels, none can match Kerry....

We saw a very good karaoke singer in the Greek Restaurant in Playa De Las Americas, shortly due on Youtube I hear, I'll post a link when it appears.

5 euros for a lightweight beach towel in resort, not worth bringing your own

We booked our fllghts for our holiday in June with Easyjet last September, the price including luggage and pre-booked seats was £163 each.If you booked those same flights today they would cost £339 each
Similarly for the September flights ,booked last December,we paid £188 each, those flights today cost £294.

Exactly what I found Dupnica for the same months as you, might see you there?

Booked our flights with Easyjet from Gatwick some months ago. For good daytime flights, pre booked seats and 20kg of luggage the cost was £170 each, not bad!

It's directly to the left of San Stefano Rent a Car

This can happen benson! I agree with you about the exchange rate, I usually order from the Post Office on line, pay using my Post Office card which incurs no charge and gives me a few weeks "grace" before paying.
By the way, there are places in SS which do not accept credit cards, best to check before ordering!

There are not too many that don't accept credit cards, but The Beachcomber is one.

Information and help please / Re: Kindle frozen screen.
« on: April 23, 2013, 01:53:16 AM »
This from Amazon's website:

Unplug Kindle Keyboard from power adapter or computer.
Slide and release the power button. The LED light that surrounds the power button will display green for two seconds.
Shut down Kindle Keyboard by sliding and holding the power button for five seconds. The LED light will blink three times. Wait for the screen to go blank, then release the power button.
Turn on the Kindle Keyboard by sliding and releasing the power button.
If Kindle Keyboard is still not working, you can perform a hard reset by sliding and holding the power button for 20 seconds.
If Kindle Keyboard is still unresponsive, try charging Kindle Keyboard before trying to restart the device once again.
Make sure you have the latest software version available installed on your Kindle Keyboard. The latest version is available here: www.amazon.co.uk/kindlesoftwareupdates

The one downside of The Beachcomber is that, from memory, they don't offer Greek food.

Taverna Gratsela in Arillis is a nice seafood eatery right on the beach
