Ah Tony, know how you feel. I have 3 dogs, 2 Collies and a Shi Tzu. I did think about bringing Alexandra home to the UK. But however short his life was, I think he enjoyed his freedom and would not have been happy cooped up in a small house.
My last memory of him is him with his paws on my shoulders the night before I was going home and me telling him to be careful.
Vey sad X
Spot on Yiannis - we all need to budget, but your extra trip through sourcing a wise budget, means the village will benefit from your trade there,
everyone's a winner then!!
Athina does have WiFi, problem is you have beg to get the code. I only got it because I told both George & his dad, that I am spending my money at Glens when I could be sitting in his bar, & I wasn't prepared to use & pay for the Hotel PC. They then gave me the code. The WiFi, which works fine in the bar, only works in certain rooms. It is free. They told me that they don't freely give out the code because the "kids" then hook up all their smart phones, games etc., and slow the broadband.
So just ask for it - they will give it, especially when all other places do it free.
Tony
Romanza has or did when we were there.
Couldnt pick it up in the rooms but had no probs at the opp end of the pool to the bar
I started writing a novelette last year in Agios Stephanos, a lot of it set on Corfu and Ag Stef. It was published in December 2011 and is being reprinted in "The year's best science fiction," out in July 2012. Why? In all my world travels as a writer I have never found anywhere as friendly and relaxing. Been back, been back again, and coming back again in 2012. Must be something in the water - but that's another story.
