I agree, Bellissimo is fantastic. It's situated on Lemonias Square; going along N. Theotoki Street from Esplanada it's on the right. I'm sure that Bellisimo has a banner, you can't miss it. You can see it's location on Google Map.

Happy you enjoyed your holiday.you sure had some experience of the restaurants and the food.

It's one of the most important things to do in Greece  ;D

Jesus Christ....... I thought we ate a lot!!! Surely this is a wind up!!??
Notice that I was 2 weeks, not alone and we were eating out at lunch time (pita gyros) and in the evening  8) (other meals)

they only went for a week...

Hi Everyone!
I've just returned from SS and I'm so enchanted!

When:
From 25th of June to 9th of July: first week was windy and it was cool, the other one was humid but we don't mind it; the weather waz amazing but there was one storm

Where:
In Mikelis Studios behind Tereza Hotel - an owner lady was amazing, she was kind and was always smiling, she cleaned every day, and she made for us home sweets.  Tereaza has awesome pool, great views, and the cheapest drinks :)

Who:
me (little blondie with a short hair), my husband (higher of a head, always with a Adidas case for his tablet) and our three years old son (always smiling blond boy, almost always in a blue buggy)

On the beach:
we liked the place where Thomas was renting a boats; we didn't rent parasols; we had our beach green tent which was very characteristic  - just behind all parasols on the way to nudist :)

Places that we visited:
- Yannis near San Stefanos Supermarket - 12 times - the best pita gyros,
- 2 Asteria (2 Stars) - 7 times: stifado, sofrito, pastitsada, kokkinisto, stamna, mix grill, mix sea food, fakitas - the best tavern for us; great hospitality and family atmosphere; the owner was so kind and the waiter was very funny, we had may chitchats :) They had many toys so our child was many thing to do there :) We olso got a home-made wine when we were last time there. I'll miss them!
- Mantos - 3 Times - we went there too late and we regret it; it's a really Greek tavern, the food was awesome and the Greek waiter and the British waiter were so friendly. Best sea food, best service
- Little Prince - once; kokinosto and garlic mussels; nice meals but we didn't find a Greek vibe so we did't come back; the dances weren't as noce as at Zorbas
- Zorbas - once; kokkinisto and spaghetti with prawns and mussels; tasty but little portions, waiters made many mistakes and we had to wait for every single thing too long, nice playground for children
- Tasty Corner - once, pita gyros, not so tasty
- Mediteraneo - once, pastitsada and stifado; nice but Asteria/ Mantos were better; nice playground for children
- Delicious - once - pita gyros, not so delicious as in Yannis, so it was only once time
- Summer Dreams - nice Tiramisu and Nescafe

and Tereza every day for Frape, club sandwich and chips (my son :)

Souvenirs:
2 litre of Koumkwat  liqueur
1 litle od Olive Oil
seasoning: stifado, sofrito, pastitsada, bbq
a box for butter
a box for bread
a magnetic card with SS view
nuts
a Corfu T-shirt
a wooden figure od two people and a child :)
1 bottle of Mythos and at the airport 6 cans

Favourite drinks, all in Tereza:
Frappe
Frappe with Bailay's
Mohito :))

The cheapest supermarket: San Stefanos, but for special things: Aspa. Both are run by nice people.

We had great time and we hope to come back next year. It is true that there were not many "young" people but for us it was an advantage. We didn't go to Condor or other places like that because we don't like that sort of  entertainment (like caraoke etc.) but I think that in SS there is sometnihg special for everyone. Have a great time!

Jassas !!!

Once we also tried Bellissimo (or Bellissima?)  and it was really delicious - we took stifado and sofrito and it was great. The owner was a really nice man and we had a little chit chat about polish football player who played in greek football club at that time. We found his restaurant recommmended in ower guide book and we waren't disappointed!

I read somewhere that it's about 7-8 euro. Sombody wrote that if you order drinks or meals at some places (where?) you can get them free but i'm not sure if it's true.

Anyway, thanks for your replies  ;D
I read all your post written in 2012 and 2011 about eating out; there really are many information I need. But  didn't find the prices at local bakery. Could you give me some, please?

Hi all  :)
I'm Agnieszka (it's difficult to pronounce). Sorry for my english - I use very simple words  and surely make many mistakes ::)
I hope to be in San Stefanos next year, if nothing wrong happens. Last week we bought the trip to Corfu and we will be living at Mikelis.
First of all I have to say I love Corfu and my husband feels the same. We have been on Corfu two times so far - in Dassia. Next year we will come with our tree years old son, who was conceived exactly on Corfu  ::)  We believe that Corfu is our place on the Earth, wherever we will go  ;D
We have fantastic memories of generous Greek people, beautiful whether and heavenly taste of food (we ate Greek food in tavernas, like: moussaka, pastitsada, sofrito, stifado, souvlaki, sea food etc.). We read the we know we will find this in San Stefanos too.
Anyway, now we are planning our budget for the trip. Could you please tell me average cost of meals in tavernas (especially for meals mentioned above), pita gyros and others in supermarkets like: bread, testis, jam jar, mineral water, beer, kumquat liqueur  :-*, watermelon and of course fabulous? I would be thankfull  :)
