San Stefanos news and views / Re: Hello everybody!

There was a thread in the "where to stay " section titled "Newbie-Delfino" a few weeks ago. I thought it was quite nasty especially about Yvette the receptionist who is a lovely yorkshire girl who goes about her job in a most friendly and professional way. There is no snobbishness about the place (I would not be comfortable with anything like that). The only positive comment was from someone who had stayed there before but on trying this year could not get in. That says it all, you have to book early to reserve a room and there are lots of people who reserve their rooms for next year on leaving. I did not get involved in that thread because I could not understand where it was coming from. I recommended Delfino to my sons friend for their honeymoon this year, and they have just got back enthusing about the place. I always think it is risky to recommend anywhere but this a place that I have no qualms about, and everyone that has taken our suggestion has come back thanking me. You go meet them and form your own opinion but I would be quite surprised if you did not like what you see and hear. Congratulations on your wedding, hope you have a marvellous day where ever you choose.

Hi cdavies86,  We are currently planning our 4th visit to Delfino and have previously seen the marvellous setting they create for wedding parties. Contrary to what other members of this site think , the whole place is magical. Just read trip advisor and look at all the photos and you get a very true and honest appraisal of the place from people who have actually stayed there. Kostas and the receptionist  Yvette will go out of their way to make your occasion better than you could even imagine.

Where to stay / Re: Villa / boutique style hotel in San Stefanos

At the end of the day wherever you stay its only a place to sleep and shower for a week or 2 and most people can do that anywhere - even by the pool!!!
Or on a bed on the beach if money runs out!!! LOL
We having been many times now - go for best value - as most Apts are very similar!
Favourite Hotel - Thomas Bay!! then Athina - not as well fitted as Delfino - but more hospitable and friendly.
You really couldn't find anywhere more hospitable and friendly than Delfino Blu!  Have you stayed there?

Hi,
Just wanted to say...we stay at Delfino Blu...just booked our next return visit for 2010.
Each to their own on what you want out of a holiday.  However, take it from me, you get a fantastic welcome from EVERYONE at Delfino Blu, and you really do get what you pay for.  Kostas (Owner of DB) will be working on the apartments next door over the winter and judging by the plans the place is going to be amazing.  DB is FULLY booked for the entire 2009 season - think that speaks for itself.  It is a private hotel though so it is fair to say that non residents would not be invited to use the pool and that's fair enough.  Do agree though that San Stefanos is a brilliant resort.  We stay on a B&B basis and make the most of the fantastic restaurants on offer.
