Thanks for the info Don, my son will be happy (and it will give him a break from choosing Kleftiko every day).

Had a brilliant Giouvetsi at the Paradise Taverna. Definitely my favourite meal of the whole holiday. Wine cheapest and best too.

My son (9 years old) loves Giouvetsi (lamb with rice shaped pasta in a clay pot) but it is often hard to find in Greek restaurants.

Anybody know of any restaurants in San Stefanos that sells this. (we go to San Stefanos for the first time in August)

thanks

Russ.

Thanks for all the feedback. As long as baby food is available we will be fine. We coped in Greece when our son was that age (which was a fair while ago now) so we will adapt to what ever is available. I remember being in Crete (Elounda) and finding a jar of Greek babyfood that from the picture looked like chicken and sweetcorn. He loved it so we bought the whole stock to last us for the holiday.

Thanks for the tip about Sidari but I suspect that pure bone idleness may prevent me from even catching a taxi. My usual holiday plans go something like this:

DAY 1: studio..beach...studio
NIGHT 1: studio...taverna...studio

and repeat for 14 days. Nowhere does relaxing quite like Greece.

We are staying in the Vicky Apartments so not expecting to burn off too many calories from the walk to the beach.

quick additional question. Are the roads around the resort busy with cars and bikes at night? From the photos I have seen there didn't look like there was any pavements in the resort (actually thinking about it I think Lassi in Kefalonia is the only village in the whole of Greece with pavements).

thanks

Russ.

We are going to San Stefanos in August with our 1 year old girl, and wondered if anyone knows what availability of nappies and jars of baby food was like there. Also, do most of the restaurants have baby high-chairs available.

thanks.
