I looked in the mirror and decided I had the like-ability factor - I went to the supermarket and bought myself 10 = yes 10!!
Pots of Jam as a reward - beat that!! LOL

Should we start a new thread called "Jam-Wars"???
Hi Tony
Are you sure it wasn't the motability factor.

Hi Gav
I thought I would lay to rest once and for all  the idea that the Romanza treats its regulars any different from its first timers.
To prove this I have contacted the hotel and they have agreed to make the following arrangements to prove once and for all  that every one is equal.
1 SUNBEDS
The strictly for the use of Yannis signs have been removed from my sunbeds and they have been allocated to you and your dear wife. These sunbeds come with gold lame mattresses and towels fitted by Leo at the crack of dawn on a daily basis.
2 ROOM ALLOCATION
Any room in the hotel is yours with the obvious exception of no 26 which is the headquarters of the PR Dept.It also contains sensitive information that if it gets into the wrong hands could reignite Jamgate.
3 RESTAURANT
The reserved signs have also been removed from my dining room table and this has also been allocated to you for the duration. The benifits are 4 fold.
Quality tested toast.(apologies for the teeth marks)
A sealed jar of qumquat jam on a daily basis.(this is to stop it being tampered with by your disgruntled fellow diners)
Extra ham and cheese slices stacked in a professional way and so invisble to the naked eye of fellow diners.

This table is so located that it gives you the best possible view of dancers & singers on greek/barbecue nights.
You will also be allocated my late night stool at the pool bar.Andreas the head barman assures me that depending on the exuded ambience(a much better word)you will be shot on a regular basis.
I hope these arrangements meet with your approval and once and for all kill the myth that the Romanza treats its new guests any different from its regulars.

Please treat this posting in the tongue in cheek way it was meant.I cannot afford another jamgate and impeachment is not an option.

Thanks for that, Sellsy. We stayed at the Romanza twice last year after many visits to Voulas. We found the staff to be fine (as they are at Voulas), but as you say, the views are stunning at the Romanza. I only raised the point about breakfast because there were rumours that 'things are going to change and etc etc', and it's not good now that  - - have and gone to a place in the village. All I can say is that it suits us, and we are looking forward to our visit. An Ouzo on the balcony before wandering off for dinner (village or Hotel) is a wonderful way to start the evening. Can't wait!!
