Tennis Courts

Hi all!

This may be a silly question, but the tennis courts in San Stefanos - do you just turn up when you want and use if free and just take your own equipment?

I've never really paid much attention to them before but my fiance is fancying a game or two when we go in September and need to know whether we need to take our own rackets etc!? Or whether they have some there you can hire?

Whether we end up using them or not i think will be a different matter!!

Hi Em,

We did something similar a couple of years ago. Aparently the guy how is is the apartments directly opposite has rackets for hire and can give you access, but he was never around when we were there. So, we ended up using the court at the Thomas Bay Hotel. Its not a full size court and the net was very saggy , but it was good fun for an early morning game

Yeah its nothing serious, might just want a few goes really!   

Do you know whether you can use the Thomas Bay courts if your not staying at the hotel? Do they charge and/or have their own rackets?

I don't wanna waste any weight in my suitecase if not going to use the rackets!! lol

Maybe pop an email to Margarita at 3W's net café as her in law have the apartments opposite she may know? It always looks deserted to me but sure someone must know.......

Or just go to Thomas Bay - they welcome everyone....

We weren't staying at the Thomas Bay and there was a small charge for a court for an hour (5 euros I think). They also hire racquets as well for a small charge, if you need the extra baggage allowance

I reckon we wont take them then and just rent if we fancy a game - chances are we'll probably wont!! :-)
