I probably sound like an ‘old fart’ but this has probably come from the Kavos, Faliraki type resorts that are open all night with lots of drinking canoodling etc ?? ::) ::) ::)

I too am an old fart and have to agree with you.  Greece are very quick to deal with these spikes, which is a good thing.  It won't affect the early to bedders, so hopefully it will be ok, just have to see what the FCO decide to do...

It applies to many islands and land crossings. Corfu is included.

Weren't we all "types" back in the day?? Think of your 20 year old self and wonder would you behave any differently - be honest.

I had the same conversation with my mate the other day and we really struggled to think that we would have been compliant. When you're 20 you're invincible, socialising and meeting new people is the order of the day.

I know exactly what I was like as a 20 year, a bit of a rascal just say.  However, even at that young age if the government and or NHS implored/instructed everyone  to comply to certain rules and restrictions then I would obey their words.  There is a worldwide pandemic and lots of people are dying lest we forget.  This is nothing like we experienced as a 20 year old.

I'm with Rod... Well I'd like to think I would not have been so daft! I would have said "stupid", but it's a bit of a red rag....

Yes, I was that 20 year old, but we weren't experiencing a pandemic then... :)

Agree completely Rod. The difference is that people today ignore the rules that don't suit them because they've never been told NOT to do something (oh, I really do sound like an "old fart" now!)

No Barbara, you are not an old frat.  You have morals and standards that a lot of today's youth (not all) will not tolerate.  In other words they are brought up as selfish brats.  My wife works in schools and says the parents of today (not all) are pathetic.  My wife's main gripe is that the parents want to be their child's best friend/mate. "No she says, be their mam and dad".
