........when are you going, where, how long ?. We are hoping to get back this summer, wee health issue, but fingers crossed we can visit our favourite Greek village at some point.

Old age is putting us off! Well that and the idea of travelling through airports and with airlines in the UK. If you could only wake up there with the sound of the sea outside your room…. Can’t say never or even not this year, but the latter is doubtful. Other peoples experience last year certainly didn’t help.

One visit for us again this year, 22nd July (still tied to school holidays as wife works in a school) staying for 2 weeks. Flying from East Mids early morning and staying at the fabulous Fedra Mare. Bliss!

We first managed to get in there in 2021, when traveller numbers reduced because of covid rules/testing. So this year will be our fourth stay. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else now. Always looked after, the breakfasts are ridiculous!

Breakfasts at Fedra Mare are fantastic, miss them a lot.

Tell us about the Athena-what are the rooms like? We used to stay at the Vicky before it got taken over so never been to the Athena-not even for a nosey!!

OMG-I have just realised we have booked a "Suite" at Athena, which appears to be in the posh bit at the side-has anyone stayed in that part? I just booked something that guaranteed a sea view (Lesley spoiled us at the Vicky, with wonderful sea views!  ) and didn't realise that we appear to be in the posh bit!

We’re giving San Stefanos a miss this year and doing a once in a lifetime 4 week tour of Australia in October.

Will miss our home from home this year but will be back in summer 2025 all being well
