An interesting read for someone who has not been out there for 11 years. We have always stayed at the Romanza and for the duration, hire a car, not only to get out and about sightseeing, but to use to get up and down that damn hill! Pushing a pushchair and a 4 yr old down it was great fun, but up, never again. Well he is 20 now, so no pushchair required and he won't be with us.

I am so looking forward to eating at the Romanza, the food was good even back then, but seems like we may be in for a treat.

The food and ambience created by Andreas and Katy is awesome.

Such a lovely setting to eat your meal.

I pushed a 2yo up once last year...... was an effort

Well Buttons1, the hill is still the same! When we first visited SS in the 90's, we stayed at Voulas. We would think nothing of walking down to the beach or village during the day, back to the appartment, and then walk to Brouklis in Arillas for our evening meal. Now we are older, wiser, and less fit and limit ourselves to one climb per day! Enjoy your stay at Romanza.

Our favourites from last year are:

Fantasia
Beachcomber
Romanza

My other half love 2 stars as well.  He always has a chuckle when he thinks of when we ate at Nafsica!!!

We ate out somewhere different every night and never really had a bad meal.

We never ate at Olympia and every time we went past it was empty.

We were reminiscing about the restaurants in SS the other day and trying to decide where we would eat on our first night there!!

We'll definitely eat at Nafsika when we arrive. Best food in the village, in my opinion.

It's a bit pointless you eating anywhere else but The Nafsika Jimbo, as you're staying there on half board from 11th July, but I don't disagree with you about the food, it's great, we will also eat there.
Good Nafsika promotion though.

Top of our list is Olympia followed by Ozzy Oils with Little Prince and Zorbas equal 3rd. We are though going to try Yiannis again this year and also 2 Stars and Barras after having a lay off from these for the last couple of years

For us it's Little Prince, Yiannis and Fantasea with Mistral for lunch. But that's just our main preference the rest are fine just not as keen to visit.

We're heading out there next week :) just looking for any latest recommendations from those who are out there or recently returned. Are there any not to be missed dishes, new venues or  pleasant surprises from this years menus? Cheers.
