Where to eat?
Ozzie Oils
This taverna is situated on the Arillas Road just before the tennis courts. As its name implies this is a real fusion of Greek and Australian foods, we were particularly impressed by the choice of salads, mains included honey chicken, garlic and rosemary roast chicken which went down very well and if you're feeling adventurous you can even try the Kangaroo. The garlic cream potatoes are to die for.
Kerry and her team make you feel welcome and has the uncanny knack of remembering your names, which made us feel very special on our return visits.
We can highly recommend the BBQ nights which are held on a Tuesday, be sure to book as this is very popular and great value for money. The cooking takes place in the front garden, a little patience is needed as each table is cooked for in turn, but just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and a drink or two while you wait for your plate of chicken, sausage, pork served with cob bread, potatos and salad.
Then when you've had you fill and are feeling rather mellow, Kerry will sing for you, feel free to join in or have a smooch with your partner. A great evening.
We made a promise to try new places this year but ended up going back to Ozzie Oils three times, now what does that tell you?
