Where to eat?
The Waves
We remember reading a good review about this restaurant on another Corfu website and thought that we should give it a try.
The Waves restaurant is situated at beach level towards the old harbour.
It is certainly very popular during the day with many people just leaving the beach in search of a snack.
In fact it was so busy that we ended up sitting inside, although we still had a good view of the beach and sea.
The menu was large and will cater for most peoples tastes and requirements.
We opted for a small meze of Spinach pies, fried aubergine, a Greek salad and freshly made pitta bread. The pies were cooked entirely different to those we had seen before. The pastry was filled with the Spinach mixture, rolled into a sausage shape before being curled into a circle, and baked in the oven it looked like a mini Danish pastry delicious.
The food was very good and certainly endorsed the reviews we had read on the Internet.
Reasonably priced, good food, a beach view and a 5 minute walk back to your sun bed, what more can you ask for?
